now that we’re at the coffee shop, he doesnt want to put his headphones in and cut himself off from the “sensory experience” that is a busy coffee shop, but he also doesn’t want to over hear the obnoxious conversation the chicks next to us are having about NGOs. (i mean, it is pretty obnoxious, but not impossible to tune out).
im such a laid-back go with the flow kind of person*, i really can’t deal with people who constantly unhappy about everything.

another thing that is pushing me away from the ship seems to be people’s overidentification with/idolization of hermione. ive read a few fics recently where she’s more of a mary sue than a real character. its just dumb. so much of it follows that idiotic “she can save him!” narrative and it makes me want to puke (im actually mocking that desire in my own dramione fic at the moment). not only because its cliched and sexist, but also because it completely devalues draco as a character in and of himself.
i guess i shoudn’t let a few bad fics and a couple of assholes ruin the entire ship for me but damn….
and dramione shippers are so rude about ron & pansy.

I don’t know if its hetshipping in general or dramione in specific, but sometimes its just like OH MY GOD YOU GUYS SHUT UP. Its just…so much drama and angst and mawkish declarations of undying love. Its over the top, but not even fun and camp. I definitely feel like there is more humor and joy in the slash ships i support than in the het ones I do.
the pure stupid i have encountered from some dramione shippers is really turning me off the ship.
like seriously. i can drink all the water and take all the medicine and eat all the eggs and still feel like shit. but one 12oz can of dr pepper? and im good to go.
